More Guest Stories

 I can't tell you how much our trip meant to all of us, it was all we hoped for, and more. There are a few times/places in life that you experience complete contentment. There's nothing more you could ask for because you are completely satisfied. That's how I felt at the ranch. Between the scenery and environment, the horses (not to mention the cats and dog), and then, the most warm, gracious, wonderful people – it was more than I can put into words. Bev and George are treasures! And the rest of the group – Frank and Anja and Stefan -all of them are just lovely! You are perfect hosts in a most perfect setting.

Thank you again for all you did for the birthdays and ALL the WONDERFUL meals and the companionship!

We hope we'll see you again soon.

I thought I already found the perfect ranch and didn't think that any other place could impress me much. But La Reata taught me better. After driving through plain fields I reached a place at a lake that just makes me feel comfortable and anxious to explore my new “home”

Every little detail of the “camp” amazed me for it's reasoned design and exceptional realizing. I don't know if the “Wild West” looked like this a hundred years ago (honestly: I don't think so) but this is how I want to enjoy it. Thanks for showing me this beautiful place and for a ride which had everything from landscape to cattle work on one afternoon and a wonderful evening and great accommodations!

The week went by way to fast! What a fantastic vacation it was for us. George , you are a most gracious host – fun, generous, flexible, kind and very special. Thank you for allowing us to share your lifestyle and blessings with us. We rode until we couldn't ride anymore, on the best horses we ever rode!! Fishing was so much fun. Bev , you are a “Master cook” - thank you Stefan and Anja we will miss you. We can't commend you all enough. Give Jimmy Brown and Gus a hug from us. We'll be back.

Dear George , Anja, Stefan , Melanie, Bev , Garret & Cara Lynn. Thank you so much for the super wonderful holiday! This is the nicest vacation ranch in the world, the horses are truly the loveliest and most special friends you could ever wish for. Thank you George for the finest quality riding instructions and all the good times. Anja is a champion swimmer and so much fun in everything we do. Thank you Anja for all the companionship and all your kindness and hospitality. A girl of pure class. Thank you everyone for all the great food. It was so delicious and much enjoyed. The scenery is spectacular and my cabin is so cozy and charming. I will miss Bobby , who is dauntless athlete..& faithful friend. I thank the horses for their courage. Life is wonderful here .

After reading the guest books I think everything I feel has already been expressed. I felt so at home, so free and happy being here that it is hard to imagine to go home, back to a totally different life of stress and pollution. I know I will be very sad when I have to go back but I always cherish the memories of this dream like vacation very dearly. The people I have met here are all very special guests as well as Canadians. I get out of my bed every morning and can't believe where I am. The countryside is just so beautiful. I have never before been able to look so far. No houses no highway no crowds and most of all, no noise. Just the wind, the sun and the wildlife. A vacation for the heart and the soul. I have lost count of time and I forgot all the worries at home. I wish I could leave them there forever and escape, but I know this is just a wonderful dream. I am very grateful for the time I was allowed to have.

First I was a little scared to come back. Could it be as overwhelming as the first time? But now, all I can say is: YES!!

The wonderful feeling about nature, people, freedom - that I found here last year - came back. To me this really is a little piece of paradise, and I am still in love with this place. And again it's hard to leave!!!
